Brad & Mary-Ellen (wedding)

17 Feb 2008

Mary-Ellen contacted me after seeing Derek & Kristie’s wedding album last year… it’s such an amazing compliment when people book you like that! Then she changed her wedding date so that I would be able to do the photos.
These guys were really clever and got one of my Engagement Guest Books. They are ultra cool guest books which are designed in the same way my wedding albums are, except a lot simpler, and has space for the guests to sign. I got so many great compliments from the guests all day about what a great idea it was and how great the photos were.
So, onto the wedding day!
The ceremony and reception were both at McCrossins Mill in Uralla. Uralla is being credited as being the ultimate wedding destination for people from the city.. It’s such a cute little town that is so nice to photograph in. Brad owns and runs Highland Stockyards in Uralla and actually made the most gorgeous metal rotunda style thing (i’m not sure exactly what it’s called) for them to be married in. I love personal touches like that where LOVE is shown to the other person. I’m sure Mary-Ellen will never forget that he did that for her.
McCrossins Mill is a museum and function centre in one, and is run by volunteers. They did such an amazing job, and put great care and effort into what they were doing.
We did photos around the venue, the streets of Uralla and some out near Thunderbolts Rock.
I, once again, am so happy with how the photos went! I did a mini slideshow for the couple last night at the reception and they seemed to be very happy too!
Everyone was so much fun.. the bridal party and I bounced off each other the whole day, the guests were Canadian Nice. (What the heck is Canadian Nice? Well.. the Canadians are scarily polite and are very non selfish in general- no wonder I fell for Lauren).

Putting on her ear-rings shortly before leaving for the ceremony.

A cute moment in the ceremony. You can see a little bit of the structure that Brad built.

Thanks for checking out my blog again everyone.. remember if you know someone who is getting married and you haven’t told them to check out my site, then you’re doing them a disservice and they may never speak to you again! Do yourself a favour, tell them, and keep a friend.
