Doug & Liz (another wow wedding)
Folks, It gives me great joy to share these photos. I don’t think the day could have been any more perfect. I am so excited for all the weddings that are coming up if these photos are indicative of what is to come!
Liz looked absolutely breathtaking, Doug was as charming as possible, and the bridal party and family were so kind and loving!
Liz booked me after seeing Chloe and Allan’s wedding album. It was such a privilege being able to shoot Liz’s wedding as she is a design student, and is very particular about things. This was evident yesterday because everything was just perfect!
The wedding took place around the Tamworth Region, the guys got ready at Doug’s parents place near Moonbi on the most gorgeous property, and the girls got ready at the Powerhouse in Tamworth. From there it was back to Doug’s parents place for the ceremony and back to the Powerhouse for the reception. The room was set up absolutely beautifully. I might add some more pics Later of the gorgeous set up at the ceremony.. (I still haven’t loaded all the pics onto my computer, so who knows what other gems are still waiting to be found).
I had a young photographer named Bek Ding come down from Sydney and learn a few things whilst she assisted me at this wedding. It’s fantastic having photographers come along as I love to teach and share what I have found works for me, and help them find their groove. If you’re a photographer who is interested in having real wedding training, the cost is $250 for the day & I will take time to show you the ropes!
It was also a great day because I got to use my new 1ds Mark 3. It’s a 22 megapixel freak of a thing. It’s fast as anything, the exposures are consistent, and it made my day so much easier. So easy in fact that I shot twice as many photos as normal, OOPS! The only problem is, I think I’m going to have to upgrade computers again as this just can’t handle them with the speed that I would like. For all of you photographers who are still using the 5d, I’d encourage you to upgrade if at all possible. It really is that much better.
Ok, onto the gorgeous photos!
I asked these guys to smoke for a photograph.. they pretended later to the girls that it was tough.. but they looked like they really enjoyed it ![]()

Note to future brides. Allow a stack of time between getting ready and leaving for the ceremony as it means we can do some really funky stuff like these next few pics!

Amazing window light on an amazing looking bride.

I love experimenting! No wedding I do is ever the same, so why treat them the same I say. Mix it up!!

Let’s skip to the ceremony… This is when Liz had to say that she would give in to Doug’s leadership.. haha.. She was only kidding..

I can’t decide whether I like this one or the next one the best.

Don’t they look cute together?

I was seriously on fire yesterday. There are thousands of other images that I could have easily posted on this blog.

One of my favourites.. in a vineyard..

Bek was holding a reflector to the top left of the image.. and Liz was saying.. when I look back on this shot I’ll be able to think of you holding this big gold disc….It worked rather well though eh?

Now, as I said, I haven’t even loaded all the photos onto the computer…so.. I’ll do you all a deal. If we can get above 50 comments for this post (oh how I love comments) then I will share more images on the blog asap!
Thanks again Doug & Liz. I can’t wait to see you guys after your honeymoon.
