Carrie & Wade

11 Jun 2008

To say that this was one of the most extreme places I’ve photographed a wedding would be an understatement. Perched upon the very top of a mountain, whilst snowflakes who’s size defied logic fell upon the people present, Carrie & Wade tied the knot.
Perry & I worked this one together. We sometimes hussled for the best spot, other times we let the other person just do their thing.. that’s the great thing about working with another photographer!
To reach the top of the mountain, the guests (and the photographers) travelled up the hill in Gondolas. They freaked me out a little. Visibility was next to nothing during the climb up, until we went through the clouds and the top layer of clouds were above and it started to snow on us.
It seems crazy how you can get married in the middle of summer and still have it snow on your wedding.
Carrie & Wade share a love which is very special, and It was a pleasure to be able to witness their love. They also posess an amazing ability to make everyone around them feel comfortable, loved and special. This is just ONE of the enormous amount of reasons I was so glad to be a part of their most amazing day.
