welcome to james day photography

I think almost everyone has either seen the Banff Springs Hotel on the travel programs, or visited it themselves, and stood in awe of the majestic building and grounds. Well yesterday I was lucky enough to be photographing a wedding there for John & Laurie! Perry & I pulled up at the front of the building, and quite seriously, my heart was pounding.. it was a dream of mine to photograph a wedding there.. and it’s also attached to another dream of mine.. which I won’t share on here, LOL!

We took photos around the Banff Springs Hotel, as well as the old parks Canada building. There was a young female photographer who was in the same grounds taking some photos… and we were rather close by, and for her next shot, she asked if the couple could walk away from her, quite a distance, and she was just standing there, so I went up near to her (about 2 metres away) and said, “you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to take photos could you?”. She just stood there and pretended I wasn’t there. I couldn’t believe it. I know that photographers get funny about people shooting in their territory, but that was just absurd. Photographers - look after other photographers!
