THE Clark Family

26 Jun 2008

Just a very sneaky little peek from a shoot which I have just started editing. Such a fun, quick shoot that I will never forget. I will share more tomorrow about this! (Edited to add: Might be another 24 hours for this one as I decided to work on something else that was quick to do instead- You know.. being on holidays, it’s harder to get things done! arggh!)

Oh, and by the way, photographers- I need your help. I am so totally over photoshop’s save for web and would love it if somoene could give me a hand before I post the rest of these images. Even if I save them at a super high quality in SFW, it still loses some of the colour. I normally let it go as it’s not being printed or going in an album, but I’m about sick of it! Any ideas?

  1. Hey James, are the shots taken in Adobe RGB and not converted to sRGB before use of save for web? Normally this is only an issue when printing but it may be causing what you see. In Cs3 it’s Edit/Convert to Profile and then select sRGB (designed for the majority of monitors to accurately show). Cheers mate, Antony

  2. Antony is absolutely correct. It really bugged me when I first began blogging. Then I discovered that if I converted to sRGB first and subsequently saved to web it was fabulous.

Like the pic by the way. This has life and happiness all over it - even with dad keeping up his subdued “I’m Cool” look! But hey, guys are like that.

  3. I have this problem too, thanks for bringing it up James. But I just checked my settings and I am shooting in sRGB. Also the cs3 desaturated for a while (when my old PS7 hadn’t), then it came right, then it started doing it again (after another update maybe?). I know there are probably people out there who think I’m some loon that doesn’t know what she’s doing as they read this, but I’m sick of it too. I use an action a friend wrote for me instead…

  6. I love this pic…Dad is more subdued when compared to the other happy faces, but take a look at those eyes and that smile, they scream “Smitten!” His face reveals so much joy and happiness! This photo is beautiful!
Straight to the poolroom for this one!
