The power of facebook
Online Social networking is huge these days, and no doubt that 95% of you reading this are a part of it in some way. I’ve decided to put it to the test recently by putting a few random things as my status.
For instance, 2 weeks ago, I put a note on facebook saying, “Can someone bring me a belt, I left mine in Armidale and I need one for a wedding tomorrow in Sydney”. Within an hour I had a belt brought to my room by an old school friend now living in Sydney.
For the next test, it was to see if I could get some fudge brought to me in Armidale from the Darling Harbour Fudge Shop. 3 people latched onto that idea!
& today, as I drove into Newcastle, I change my status from my iPhone to say, “First person to call gets to come along to a wedding here in Newcastle with me”. Within about 10 minutes, I had 5 photographers call and ask to come along.
I seriously am floored. I never knew Online social networking could be this powerful.
Next up.. well I need a new car….
