Alex & Belinda (wedding in Uralla)

23 Jan 2009

Last weekend, Alex & Belinda got married in Uralla! What a fun wedding it was, with only the couple in the bridal party.. it was such a relaxed time. We ended up being finished the shoot in plenty of time and coming and sitting in my office listening to Jason Mraz, eating crackers and dip, drinking champagne and relaxing until they needed to arrive at their reception.

They had their reception at the newly refurbished Powerhouse Hotel (it used to be called Cattlemans) and I can only speak good words of this reception venue. Great food, service, attitude and location. Armidale brides, get in there and book them!

Alex & Belinda are such a fun, laid back, and awesome people to spend the day with. Watching Alex as Belinda walked up the aisle was a pretty powerful thing.. he really adores that girl of his!

I have so so so so so much left to share.. I’m really behind on blogging. From next week I might try blogging every day for a while again.. we’ll see…

  1. I’m been meaning to ask for ages if this faded kodachrome look on some of the images is a signature style of yours? Perhaps a post-processing step in Photoshop (or equivalent)?

Perhaps an article on your workflow might be illuminating (if it’s not a trade secret).

  6. Gordon: It has definitely become part of my style, but I am not responsible for creating this look.. It’s been created by using Jesh De Rox new action set, and the action is called “evening obscura”, and it’s described as a low contrast black and white. I will definitely do a little tutorial for you on my post processing workflow.
