Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

I’ve just returned from a magical weekend away hanging out with 3 wicked photogs in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!

I shot a wedding full o’love with Michael Shandro from Shandro Photo on Saturday, followed by a mad-crazy wedding with Rob and Lauren on sunday.

I’ll be posting images from the crazy amazing oh my gosh wow weddings over the next few days. For now, I’m just going to leave you with a teaser from Brian and Jolene’s Wedding with Rob and Lauren yesterday.

Tara & Trevor’s Wedding

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I was the second shooter for a company called PhotoBliss on saturday. I photographed with a very talented photographer named Mark Shannon who was shooting for PhotoBliss.
I could barely believe it when I turned up and Tara looked so amazing.. with her OFF THE HOOK VEIL. Ladies.. I just love these veils.. and any of my brides wanting to wear one is more than welcome! In fact I’d encourage it.

Oh, and guess what, the super talented Perry Thompson is doing a shoot of Lauren and I tomorrow! I love getting photos taken of us. and yes.. of course I will blog them!

Bree & Alan (hamptons reception)

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Last week I was in NY to shoot Bree & Alan’s New York reception. It was so much fun.. because there wasn’t really any posed photos that we had to do.. and it was lots of just walking around and meeting people/photographing what was going on.. and just being the token aussie. Just kidding.

As with all of Bree & Alan’s events… there was a crazy fun party atmosphere. They had a Brazilian Carnival music group entertaining most of the night, called Escola De Samba Boom! And apparently I am the first ever photographer to promise to send through images and have actually followed through and done it! WOOHOO!!!

On a very selfish note, It was a great trip for me, because I met so many people that want me to come back and create images for them.

Enjoy these pics, and expect more soon from the first wedding with my brand new Tilt Shift lens.. I rocked that thing hard!

Lavonne & Rory

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Lavonne = Canadian.
Rory = Australian.

They’re off to a great start already.

Lavonne decided to sign up for couch surfing, because she knew she would be needing to call on others when she travelled next. Lavonne made the mistake of including her photograph on her profile, and had guy after guy contact her asking if they could stay. She said no every time. Until Rory came along. She saw Rory’s photo, thought he looked tiny and harmless and agreed to let him stay. He arrived, he was tall, handsome and with a killer aussie accent. It works every time I tell ya.

That was just 6 months ago.

My journey with them begun when I met them at the Banff Springs Hotel, when Perry started talking to them randomly. Perry talks to everyone and I love it! Rory & Lavonne & I realised we had alot in common and we exchanged details. A few days later I got an email from Lavonne asking me if I’d be interested in doing a shoot. You bet!

It was a wonderful afternoon, full of looks between Lauren & I, realising the 2 relationships had so many similarities. Lauren.. well..she’s a typical Canadian, she’s very particular about things.. and me.. well I’m a little more relaxed..I think it’s a Canadian/Australian thing.

Lavonne & Rory, thanks for sharing the afternoon, and a meal with Lauren and I. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding one day!
