Christmas

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

So Lauren & I just returned from a lovely few days with my family. We spent a few nights staying at mum’s place which is about 35km outside of Armidale. They’ve got a gorgeous property with sheep, rolling hills, perfectly manicured gardens and a homely feel to the house. I always love staying out there. It’s so relaxing. You have no mobile phone contact out there, so I just left mine in the car and was just able to relax. Then today we spent boxing day with my sister and her family.
Lauren bought me a super awesome, most excellent gift, that being a SHOOTSAC by Jessica Claire! Every wedding photographer should have one.
So now that Christmas is over, what is there to do? Hmmmmmm
Here are some (LOTS OF) pics!

This is what was waiting for us when we arrived at mum’s house. Attractive isn’t it?

Oh, and my mum is a freak with a camera. I handed her my camera to take some photos of Lauren and I.. and this is what she came up with. She set up all the poses and was better than alot of pro photographers!

There were other photos I would have loved to have added.. but I have been threatened rather seriously by Murray.. basically because he looked a bit demented.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Did you get some great gifts?

Chris & Mitch (my nephews)

Friday, December 14th, 2007

So, I recently said in a blog post that I needed to spend more time with my nephews, so…tonight I turned up with some thai take away from my favourite thai joint (Yim Thai) and hung out with my nephews..they wrestled, went on their trikes, scooters…and Chris actually fell off his Scooter and landed against my car.. and put a nice dent in the side.. hey If I didn’t love him so much then there would have been trouble. We then went for a nice little walk.. and I did donuts with Mitch in his pram..now that was fun. I really would love to spend more time with them.. they’re such cool kids. Oh, and they’re hooked on “elf yourself” now as well..
Click here to see their Elf Yourself thingy.

enjoy these crazy pics.

Baby Jett (& mum and dad)

Monday, November 12th, 2007

On Saturday morning Maddie & Chris from Inverell who’s wedding I photographed last month came to Armidale for me to do some funky portraits of their new son Jett.
This is my favourite pic from the shoot. We’re doing this as a 30 X 30 inch canvas print for their wall.

I’m thinking future Rock Star.

Also, whilst we were at it.. I asked them if I could play a bit.. and experiment with some of these shots. We’re doing this as a 20 x 30 inch print for their wall!

just a few pics today as I have to get an album finished. It’s albums albums albums and more albums at this time of year with the cut off for getting them back by Christmas coming up.
Enjoy these!

Green Family Portraits (crazy fun session in a backyard!) + promo details

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Last sunday, after photographing Bec & Ross’ engagement session, I shot up to Tamworth to photograph the Green family portraits! The rain had been and gone, and we were left with the most beautiful light I could ever ask for.
I met Adam a few months back when he hired me to photograph the commercial photos for the financial institution he works for.. and he ended up hiring me to take some nice relaxed portaits of his family also.
If you’re looking at these images thinking they’re nothing like the family portraits you had when you were a kid, then you’re not alone. To get relaxed portraits like this.. I believe it starts with me being real and relaxed. From memory I was wearing shorts and a t shirt and thongs.. and was super laid back.. didn’t even bother putting a flash on.. so the camera didn’t look too scary for the kids.
Interested in getting in on the action with your family? A family shoot costs $250, which includes my time photographing and the viewing. Prints start at $75. As a Christmas Promotion, I will be offering unlimited lifetime* portrait sessions for your family for the same $250 flat rate. Simply pay for your lifetime membership voucher before Christmas 07, and you’ll be entitled to this offer. This would also make a superb gift for someone you love.
*Obviously people move on… so it would only be whilst we both lived within a manageable distance. (I have no plans to move in the forseeable future)
If you live outside of the New England Region, then please still enquire as I regularly travel around Australia.

without further ado.. here’s the pics!

Mitchies 4th Bday

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Today we went to the kids area at the Armidale Sport and Rec to celebrate my nephews 4th Birthday.
Here are some pics.. (sorry I’m not writing much because I desperately need some sleep..ahhhh..

Mum practically begged me not to put these photos on the blog, but I…. I’m sorry.. I just had to..
Mum is wonderful in every way.. she’s just not amazingly gifted with how to use technology…
yep, she was struggling to work out which way to point the camera.

As you can see.. she had the hang of it by now…
