Alex & Belinda (wedding in Uralla)

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Last weekend, Alex & Belinda got married in Uralla! What a fun wedding it was, with only the couple in the bridal party.. it was such a relaxed time. We ended up being finished the shoot in plenty of time and coming and sitting in my office listening to Jason Mraz, eating crackers and dip, drinking champagne and relaxing until they needed to arrive at their reception.

They had their reception at the newly refurbished Powerhouse Hotel (it used to be called Cattlemans) and I can only speak good words of this reception venue. Great food, service, attitude and location. Armidale brides, get in there and book them!

Alex & Belinda are such a fun, laid back, and awesome people to spend the day with. Watching Alex as Belinda walked up the aisle was a pretty powerful thing.. he really adores that girl of his!

I have so so so so so much left to share.. I’m really behind on blogging. From next week I might try blogging every day for a while again.. we’ll see…

Kara & Michael

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Upon returning from Chloe & Allan’s Wedding, Lauren & I went to Uralla to photograph Kara & Michael for their Engagement Session. A few days prior, I treated Lauren to get a facial at Ella Bache where Kara works. Apparently it was so good that even I am thinking of getting one. Ok, I’m not sure I could actually do it.. but apparently it was good. After the facial, Lauren and I went to the Top Pub in Uralla to get lunch, and I discovered some really nice places around Uralla to do an E-Shoot. Hence why we did the E-Shoot there.. Also, a little bit of inside information for you: I used to work at the Top Pub as waiter. I don’t think the bosses there would ever actually admit to it.. I was absolutely hopeless. I lasted 3 shifts.
Anyhow.. back on track… The E-Shoot was really worthwhile. Neither Kara or Michael were very used to being photographed (yet they’re absolutely gorgeous) so they got alot out of the experience. Being photographed by me is an experience, and I encourage my couples to experience it before the wedding day.
Also, thank you to Michael’s sister Joanne for the referral (I photographed Joanne’s wedding last year).
