CATCH UP?

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph a couple who had never met before!  They were models for a photography workshop that I taught for Georges Cameras and Profoto.

A group of photographers from Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Thailand all came together to learn more about the craft that they love – wedding photography!

After 3 strong hours of teaching on the behind the scenes of running a wedding photography business we ventured out to the Royal Botanic Gardens with Bec & Paul where I taught the group how to use different lighting modifiers and how to bring out the connection between a couple – even if they have just met!

A huge thank you to Andrew from Georges for organising this excellent event, the models Bec & Paul, Elena the hair and make up artist and also all the attendees for travelling from far and wide to attend.

All images shot on the Sony A9 camera and an 85mm 1.4 lens.

Mimicing sunset with flash is always fun!
Thank you to Georges Cameras and Profoto for their support with this workshop. You rock.

Hi James, Are you planning to have another Sydney workshop in 2020?

Hi James, Love your work, just wondering if you are planning on heading to Europe in the future to teach a workshop? Keep up the great work, Mark
